Dancing On Tables

I have been a beauty queen, a scholar, and a performer... But I have also been a beauty queen who fell from grace, a scholar who found herself unemployed and a performer with no standing ovation. I have been that carefree girl that got up on tables in clubs and danced like there was no tomorrow and I have been that girl with many admirers in tow... But I have also been that girl who was so drunk that I fell over numerous times in clubs and I have been that girl that many snickered at and whispered harsh things behind my back. This however, is just a smidgen of what my life has been... I am also a proud mother of 2 children both under the age of 5 years. A boy and girl who mean the world to me and it is because of them that I strive to be the best I can be. A single mother, who just recently has embraced and found an amazing strength and peace from being just that, a single mother. Thus, in my blog, you will read all about my experiences as a single mum both good and bad, both recent and old experiences (before and after children) that have shaped the person I am today, experiences that have helped me cradle and nurture my identity (which by the way has changed numerous times in the journey to self acceptance), but this to me is what living is all about....growing, learning, evolving....Transcending!! So feel free to drop in any time....have a laugh at some of my embarrassing moments, perhaps even get a bit angry or have a little cry...And who knows, you too may discover something about yourself!! But please do not take offence or take any of my words personally....This is just me keeping it real....a single mother...who may yet have a few table dances still left in her.....
